Catherine, Princess of Wales brought us the news we were all waiting for earlier this week, telling royal fans that she is officially cancer-free in a new, very personal video message.
The video, filmed by Will Warr in August, is loaded with beautiful shots of the Wales family enjoying their summer holiday in Norfolk, where the family’s country home Anmer Hall is located.
But there was a moment at the very beginning of the video – before the 42-year-old even delivered her message – that many of us missed, giving us insight into the Princess of Wales’ loving relationship with her youngest, Prince Louis.

The video opened with the family walking in a line while hiking through the bush. Princess Charlotte, nine, Catherine, Prince William, 42, and Prince George, ten, were walking together.
The six-year-old was seen throwing and catching a ball as he walked a few steps ahead.

Seeing her youngest’s enthusiasm, Catherine called out to him, “Lou Bug, you lead the way”.
It’s not the first time we have heard the royal’s adorable nickname for her son. She also called him the moniker during his first royal engagement, The Big Help Out in May 2023.
The Wales family had joined the 3rd Upton Scout Troop to volunteer, with the youngster seen shoveling sand into a wheelbarrow and pushing it to other volunteers.

“Well done, good job Lou Bug,” Kate had said in encouragement.
As a reward, he and his siblings were able to toast marshmallows on the fire to make smores.
When he was done toasting the sweet treat on a stick and was looking for somewhere to discard the tool, Catherine could be heard saying, “Pop that in the fire, Lou Bug.”
